Have you heard about Spotify? Surely! How could you miss out this fantastic music service. The best ever in my point of view. Before revealing why I love it so much, lets make a quick explanation of the service.

What is Spotify?

It's a downloadable application that lets users stream music instantly from its library. The library is built thanks to partnership with the four major labels plus some smaller record labels.
This is a streaming service, so the songs are only available when you are online and connected to it. So that means it doesn't work with a portable music device.

Spotify is only available in some European countries, and the free version is invite-only. But wait since beginning of February people in the UK don't need anymore an invitation to join the music service!

How it works?

Easy - register here. Once you've downloaded Spotify on your laptop or computer, you can start browsing the music catalog by artist, genre, or title, and stream the tracks on-demand any number of times.

How they make money?

Spotify offers two ways to use its service. You can use it for free but you will have to listen from time to time some ads (every 5/10 minutes) or if you really don't like ads, you can pay for the subscription options. The 24 hours ad-free pass is £0.99 and the monthly subscritption is £9.99

Why I like it so much?

• The launch of the service is very quick.
• Even if it doesn't have all the songs it still has an amazing catalog of songs & albums.
• I like the music I've got on my ipod/hard-drive but I found it much quicker to use Spotify and much easier to make playlist and guess what I can even share playlists with everyone!
• No time lag - I click on my song and it plays immediately - That's perfect I hate waiting!
  
• Ads are not too frequent.
• My playlists and searches are saved automatically.

• One functionality I don't use but I find nice is the ablility to scrobble the music I'm playing on Spotify to Last.fm
